Chartres Upper & Lower Village

This French city is much loved for its cathedral and the many historic building reminiscent of the late medieval period when Chartres was a famous center of learning. In this painting I have shown the apse, façade and the treasury of the cathedral but also the lower medieval village where I had an apartment while studying for my degree in Paris.
